Acting for Kids & Youth
Welcome to Acting LaB, where Children and Youth can immerse themselves in the world of Theatre through our vibrant and supportive programs. We offer three distinct groups tailored to different age ranges, ensuring that each participant finds the perfect fit for their developmental stage and interests.
Our Kids (4+) program introduces young children to the basics of acting through playful theatre games, storytelling, and role-playing. This fun and engaging environment helps them develop essential skills in Voice & Speech, Body & Rhythm, and fosters a lifelong love for theatre.
For Juniors (7+), we offer dynamic classes that delve into theatre and improvisation. This program encourages creativity, character development, and confidence, all while making new friends and honing independent thinking skills.
Our Youth (12+) classes focus on refining acting techniques and stage presence, while also teaching valuable life skills. Students enhance their self-esteem, public speaking abilities, and creative expression through imaginative play and self-discovery.
Youth aged 16 and older are encouraged to join our Adult groups to continue their theatrical journey.
Both Winter and Summer Semesters culminate in Open Classes and Final productions in June, where students showcase their work on prominent Prague stages such as Divadlo na Pradle, Divadlo Inspirace, Divadlo na Maninach, and Divadlo Kolowrat etc.
In all our groups, we embrace a diverse mix of students, including many from Russian-speaking backgrounds and international schools. Russian is commonly used in our Kids and some Youth classes, while English and Czech are actively integrated into the learning environment. Our materials and performances emphasize English to ensure an immersive and playful experience.
